Barnett Bicycle Institute is probably the world's best school to study and certify for becoming a bicyle mechanic. It also happens to be located in one of the top US cities for cycle training and mountain biking. A little humongous company named REI trains and certifies all of their bicycle mechanics through BBI. It is an amazing facility, with incredible instructors. They have recently been inventing and manufacturing industry specific tools for maintaining bicycles, and are now selling them through their on-line store in their brand new website designed and built by me. :) Everybody at BBI was great to work with, and I enjoyed the project.

I recently had the oppurtunity to re-design and build the website for the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments. It's a mostly informational website to help people find information on the various organizations managed and funded by the city of Colorado Springs.

If you have any answers to this question, you will be interested in this postcard project. It's really quite incredible. I was approached for a website project by some anonymous person(s) who wished to help make our city of Colorado Springs a little better. I agreed because I believe that this has potential to be something quite huge, and that it will end up having a very positive effect on the city.
The idea is to pick up a postage-paid postcard from one of many locations in Colorado Springs, draw your idea on the back, and then send it in. When your postcard gets published a few days later, you tell everyone you know to go look at it on the site. Easy, right? You can also rank the postcards as you see fit using an awesome ajax powered 5 star system.
How could Colorado Springs rock? Click here for some ideas, and then go make your own postcard.

So I just finished another artist portfolio site for a very prolific artist who has just relocated to Colorado Springs. His name is Nik Arnoldi, and you can see his wonderful artwork at his new site here. He also has a pretty interesting blog, which he contributes to way more frequently than I do to mine.

I just built and launched a new website for Glenwood Whitewater Events. Glenwood Springs, Colorado will be hosting the 2009 Freestyle Kayaking Team Trials at their new standing wave whitewater park. This is the competition that will determine who moves on to compete in the World Freestyle Championships to be held in Thun, Switzerland in August 2009.

Since the end of 2008 when Richard and I closed Edifice Gallery, I've had a lot of free time on my hands. I decided to redesign jzog.com with some new features, a slicker (non-flash) javascript image display, an upgraded CMS, a (not too gimmicky) color changing background, an ajax powered search box, and a totally new design. I'm very happy with it.

Finished this portrait a while back. It currently resides in my kitchen, leaning against the wall with a bunch of other huge portraits. It’s 40″ x 60″ and has a high-gloss protective varnish.

Monica is a brilliant and talented photographer in Colorado Springs. She has shown her photos at Edifice Gallery, as well as self-publishing a book of one of her photography projects. It’s inspiring to see other creative people upping the bar with their projects.

Just went live with another site for an amazing filmmaker, Mathew Nelson, here in Colorado Springs. His film was featured at the Indie Spirit Film Festival this year, and earned the Directors Choice Award.
